Mrs. Nanette Verner is a vocal Soloist and Teacher.  She was born in Greenville Texas, and began singing at an early age in church.

She was an active member of the choir throughout all of grade school and into college, and participated in UIL Solo contests and numerous talent shows.  She graduated from Texas A&M Commerce with a Bachelor’s in Science.  She remains a member of a church adult choir, and is an active member of Mt. Pleasant First Baptist Church choir.

She spent almost 6 years as a full time Minister of Music & Education in a West Texas church, and has plentiful solo experience in countless venues throughout her 62 years; including church services, revivals, conferences with thousands of people, private parties, musicals, concerts of all kinds, sporting events, weddings, and funerals, among others.

She has just retired from 22 years of teaching Elementary Music (K-4) for MPISD, and has joined our roster as a voice teacher as of Autumn 2024.

“Music is a Universal language that can stir the soul. To me, voice lessons are to exercise and train the voice to not only properly sing the notes of a song, but to convey the message and emotion that the composer intended.” – Nanette Verner
