Mrs. Vickie Adams is a bachelor’s graduate in music education from Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana and furthered her education with a Master’s in music from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana; from which her primary fields of study included Voice, Clarinet, Music Theory, and Choral studies.

After graduation, she played as a Principle Clarinetist and Jazz Vocalist in the Louisiana National Guard Band for 15 years.  She was also a music educator in the public school system throughout all grades in the North Louisiana and DFW area for 27 years.

Among her various other accomplishments, she has co-directed the Northwest ISD Children’s Honor Choir, founded and directed the Miss Bossier City Pageant (a precursor to the Miss Louisiana Circuit), Founded and Directed the “Victory Line Dance and Drill Team” Sponsored by Bossier Parks & Recreation.

In addition, she has myriads of experience working with churches in capacities regarding: Children’s Choirs, Drama Teams, Praise and Worship Platforms, as a guest soloist, interim adult choir director, assistant to camera director at Fellowship Church in Grapevine, TX, and a soprano in the Gateway Church Choir, Southlake, TX.

She moved to the Mt. Pleasant area with her husband David two years ago, and currently teaches Voice and Guitar here at the Mt. Pleasant Music Studio.
